The Catalonia Barcelona Plaza hotel is located in an emblematic building in Plaza España, whose clock on the main façade is an icon of the city. Upon entering you will discover a renovated, spacious lobby, from where you can access the Simultáneo space, the new place-to-be in Barcelona. A large open room with a glass roof and an atmosphere that is as bright as it is welcoming, thanks to the jungle-inspired design in shades of green, orange and ivory.
The hotel has a gastrobar called Simultáneo that offers an extensive menu with innovative tapas and haute cuisine dishes. The hotel also offers a gym for free and the beauty and aesthetics center with sauna, treatments and massages.
Catalonia Barcelona Plaza hotel is very close to some of the most important tourist spots, as well as being very well connected to the center of Barcelona, via metro and bus. Plaza España is directly opposite, followed by Avenida Maria Cristina, with its imposing Roman towers. The Magic Fountains of Montjuïc begin here, which are illuminated every night with water and color shows. Presiding over the mountain you will find the Palau Nacional, home to the National Art Museum of Catalonia, and, next to the hotel, the Las Arenas shopping center, an old bullring that preserves its exterior architecture.
How to get to the hotel from the airport (the airport is situated 13km south west of the city centre)
- Bus: Aerobus connects the airport with the city center every 5 minutes. Take the "Aerobus" either on Terminal 1 or 2 and in a 20 min. journey get off at "Plaça Espanya".

- Taxi. The journey to Hotel Catalonia Barcelona Plaza takes about 20 minutes. Rates change according to the time of day. Night time rates: working days from 21:00 to 7:00 and weekends and bank holidays from 00:00 to 24:00. Daytime rates from 7:00 to 21:00.

- Car: From Barcelona airport, head northeast towards the Prat de Llobregat road to later join onto the Airport Road/C-32b.
Next join onto the Castelldefels Motorway/C-31 in the direction of Barcelona and continue along the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes.
Once at Pl. Espanya, take the fourth exit for Carrer de la Creu Coberta/N-340.
